Different measurements

Views count qualifying plays, while watch time measures time spent watching. A headline number of views does not imply a fixed number of watch hours.

Use a hypothetical calculation carefully

If 1,000 views averaged 2 minutes each, the arithmetic would be about 33.3 hours. Actual platform-reported watch time can differ; an estimated retention figure is not a guaranteed result.

Read the service restrictions

Check whether the service supports Shorts, livestreams or ordinary videos and whether geographic or traffic-source conditions apply.

Do not assume monetization

Purchased views or watch time do not guarantee eligibility for monetization. Review the platform’s rules and official analytics before making decisions about your channel.
