SMM Panel API Timeout: Prevent Duplicate Orders on Retry
Handle uncertain API submissions by reconciling provider orders before retrying a timed-out request.

A timeout is an unknown result
When a connection times out after submission, the provider may already have accepted the order. Treat that as an uncertain outcome rather than a confirmed failure. Automatically submitting the same payload again can create a second billable order for the same customer request.
Store a local request record first
Before sending an order, record a local request ID, service mapping, target, quantity and submission time. Save the provider order ID as soon as a response is received. Keep API keys out of logs. This record gives support and your application a way to reconcile what happened.
Use documented idempotency or reconciliation
If the provider documents an idempotency key, follow its exact scope and retention rules. Do not invent an unsupported request field. Otherwise, reconcile through the available order history, documented API actions or support before retrying an ambiguous submission. A missing response is not sufficient proof that no order exists.
Protect the customer workflow
Keep uncertain orders in a review state, prevent a second automatic charge and display an honest status. Once the provider outcome is known, attach the order ID or safely retry according to your policy. Test this behaviour with a controlled failure scenario before processing larger volumes.
